Andrea Jeramiah is an Indian playback singer, dubbing artist and theatre actress. Though she started
her career as a playback singer she came to the screen front through some films like Aayirathil Oruvan and Pachaikili Muthucharam.
Andrea was born on 21st December 1984 in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. She is the first child of an AngloIndian family. Her father is a lawyer practicing at the High Court in Chennai and her mother is a home maker. She has one younger sister who is working as a research assistant at Leuven, Belgium. She got an interest in singing being a part of the Jackson Five Style troupe called Young Stars at the age of 10.
The brothers of her mother are instrument players and this also inspired her.
She has completed her higher secondary school education. Then she wanted to become a psychiatrist but later changed her aim as she was very much inclined to singing. She is talented and hard working and after a while she was able to establish herself in the film industry.
Her debut song was in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu by Gautham Menon. She then got a chance in the lead role in the film Pachaikkili Muthucharam with R. Sarath Kumar. After that she got more chances but she accepted only selective roles and performed in the fantasy film Aayirathil Oruvan. The song that she sang Kannum Kannum Nokia in the film Anniyan was a mega hit. She was gossiped with the young music director Anirudh Ravichander after their lip lock video going viral.
She was nominated for Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress for the film Pachaikili Muthucharam and nominated for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award in Tamil for the film Aayirathil Oruvan. She started a company to promote art and artists namely The Show Must Go On shortly called TSMGO
Productions. This romantic and nature loving chocoholic is a strong believer of fate and destiny.
