Whoever said that beauty and brains do not go hand in hand, surely has not met Bhoomika, the chiselled-feature actress, who is taking filmdom by storm. With two great blockbuster movies to her credit both in Bollywood and Kollywood, Bhoomika has carved a niche for herself in the hearts of many.
Born to an upright military officer on 21st August in New Delhi and having traveled with him through his various postings across the country, Bhoomika has acquired a catholicity of views on most subjects, which has imparted an enviable maturity and equipoise to her credit.

With her graceful movements and warm smile this bright-faced college girl caught the attention of ad filmmakers in Mumbai. Her campaign for Ponds powder became so popular, that inevitably film offers followed.

Her first feature film Yuvakudu in Telugu was released in the year 2000. Her second film Khushi with Pavan Kalyan was a super hit in Telugu for which she won the "Best Actress Award". But the Hindi version of the film starring Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan sank. She has so far done five films in Telugu and one in Tamil.

Bhoomika debuted in Bollywood with Tere Naam opposite Salman Khan, the highest grosser in 2003, which made her the hottest stuff of the Tinsel World. Her simple yet elegant looks in the film made her the heartthrob of the nation and she was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actress award. Her recently released second hindi film Run, opposite Abhishek Bachchan however bombed at the box office. But nevertheless, this vibrant and beautiful actress is flooded with offers.

Bhoomika is daringly independent which stems from her upbringing. She has an extremely laidback outlook because she does not see acting as a profession or a means to an end. For her, it is an interesting medium for communicating. She is into acting because she loves it. And it shows.

Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Julia Roberts comprise her list of favorite actors. This northern beauty is fond of hill stations and is a dog lover. She would love to have a Rolls Royce some day. She’s most comfortable in Pants and Kurthas.

Her ambition is to win a National Award for Best Actress after winning the hearts of audiences, with

the support and appreciation of colleagues of Cinema field. She is simple and enjoys what she is doing. Her only credo in life is, gives your best and enjoys your work.
