An Indian film actress who primarily performs in the films of Tamil and Telugu languages. She entered the film industry through the film Pokkisham in the year 2008.
She was born on 14th June 1986 in Madanapalle town in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. As her father was an employee in commercial tax department working as deputy commissioner, she had to spend her childhood days at various places on account of his frequent transfers. She spent her days at Tirupati, Nellore, Guntur, Vijayawada and Hyderabad and finally settled at Chennai.
She completed her schooling at Chennai and obtained her degree in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology. She started her career in modeling during her college days by being a model for Saravana Stores. She was spotted by the Telugu director Sekhar KAmmula when she was performing in the advertisement of Tata Gold Tanishq and this marked her film debut through the film Avakai Biriyani.
Her family did not encourage her participation in film industry. They were strictly against her wishes and her father did not speak to her for eight months. This slowed down her efforts and only one film Bumper Offer was released in the year 2009.
She was a pretty and bubbly actress and her eyes had a sexy appeal. She was gossiped with a young hero but she denied these rumors claiming that she has no boyfriends. She is one of the tallest heroines of South Indian film industry. She met with an accident in 2012 on her way to Tiruchirapalli and got a dislocated bone and fractured her wrist. She had to undergo an operation for that.
